We do everything from new foundation to minor concrete repairs, so whether you have a simple cracking concrete steps or maybe you need a new concrete sidewalk poured, call CT Concrete Contractors and we will come out and give you a fair quote.

Concrete Repair

Repair any concrete surface is not always as simple as just parging over it. A lot of times the cause of the concrete surfaces damage has to be addresses below the surface. Many times a sidewalk or foundation may need to be jack hammered out, rebar reset and metal grids and re-pour the concrete. Mixing the old with the new is never the same from job to job, it's the art of concrete repair that we take serious. This is more apparent when working with classic home items that need repair, garage floor concrete (tends to pit over time) and concrete step repair (years of heavy run when your home has no gutter). Let us help you make these items not only look good, but help keep them safe for your families usage.

New Concrete Structures

We not only help create beautiful and functional concrete repairs, but we also do flat work and foundations. These can range from a basic garage floor or Alaskan slab, to concrete retaining walls and in-ground pool surfaces. We have poured the foundations for new homes across Connecticut, when you want to make the move to a manufactured home or even a new custom build, we can help with all site development right on down to your homes foundation and your yards retaining walls.
Retaining Walls
One of our favorite things to do at Ct Concrete is to give your backyard a little extra something special. Our Ct Concrete contractors handcraft the retaining walls to allow your backyard to have a more 3D approach with an extra spin of artistry. These walls can last a long time if you have the right contractor to work on your project, which we pride ourselves in at Ct Concrete. We have had clients approach the retaining wall aspect from both a practical and a creative point of view. These walls are great to have around driveways that have a sloping effect to the land located directly beside the pavement as they will prevent soil from falling onto your driveway from flooding and keep your driveway much cleaner than you ever thought was possible. A creative twist, that we at Ct Concrete like to take, is using a retaining wall system for raised flower beds and steps in the backyard which will turn any mundane area into your own private garden and oasis. An exciting and neat backyard can be a key joy inducing factor for many individuals and we would love to make it happen with yours! Concrete Staining
A quick concrete staining can add significant color to any indoor or outdoor space. Stained concrete gives the look of an expensive flooring job, but at only a fraction of the cost. Concrete staining uses specialty chemical bases or a water base that will enhance the concrete color, deep within the pores of the concrete, without affecting the durability of the concrete’s surface. This is typically a better option than tiling as it is cheaper and lasts longer. There are a wide variety of colors from neutrals to vibrant blues that can match any aesthetic that you are going for and can make your vision come to life.

There are two types of stains: acid based and water based. Each stain type has their own defining characteristics and you can use just one of the two or even both to create the combination that best suits your vision. Our team at Ct Concrete will work with you to make sure you get the results that you desire. When shopping concrete contractors in CT, make sure to due your due diligence

Acid based Stains
Acid based stains form a chemical reaction with the surface of the concrete and produce a unique staining pattern that is more transparent in nature. The color will depend on the age of the concrete and the composition of your specific concrete slab, but is typically more unpredictable in nature. If you want to ensure that your flooring won’t be identical to anyone else, this is the staining option for you. Not many Connecticut concrete contractors can perform a proper acid stain.

Water based stains
When water based stains are applied, no chemical reaction occurs which allows the stain to be more predictable and color concentrated. This is ideal if you want a smooth, solid color with no variation or pattern within the actual stain. A water stain is also desirable if you are trying to make intentional patterns or logos with the stain. If you are looking to make a statement with your stain, this is the option for you!

Concrete Texturing
Are you having trouble deciding between leaving your concrete slab as is or getting it stamped? The team at Ct Concrete has just the service for you. We offer concrete texturing for anyone who likes the idea of stamping, but doesn’t want to commit or finds stamping a little out of their budget. When Ct Concrete performs a concrete texturing service, it will take less time than other services can provide which allows you to get back to normal life significantly quicker than with any other provider. Concrete texturing takes a texture skin and applies a look that has its own character and for a fraction of the cost. Concrete stamping uses elaborately detailed stamps and makes the area more of a focal point and is more labor intensive, compared to concrete texturing, which can just add a little something to the area and make it unique without overpowering the space. This style is common on patios, driveways and garages, areas that you may not want to be a statement piece in your home, but just feel like it needs a little something extra.
